Teacher Biography

• I received my BS from the University of Oklahoma, and my Masters from Pittsburg State University

• I received my National Board Certification in 2009

• I've been teaching for over 35 years

• I have 1 daughter that owns Streller Family Wellness in Mustang who provides medical care to families

• 1 granddaughter who will be in Kindergarten at UCPS this year

• I have 1 dog, Lucy. I live on a Centennial Farm in Union City. Both my husband and my late mother-in-law were graduates of UCPS

• My favorite thing about teaching is seeing the continual growth and motivation of my students to learn new things with a positive attitude

Classroom Information

• We will be using Read Naturally for the base curriculum for the Reading Class. This curriculum is computer-based with direct instruction from myself, Ms. Bosler, and/or paraprofessionals. Students are able to utilize this website, also, at home for continued practice.

• Students who receive Special Education services are within the general education classes to receive instruction in that particular curriculum. A special education instructor and/or paraprofessional are provided within the general education classroom to assist students with assignments, tests, and instruction. Students who require extra assistance, extra time, etc., are given the opportunity to come to the Resource Room during an elective to receive extra services/instruction/homework assistance, etc.. Students who have been absent may take this opportunity to also make up assignments/tests/instruction.
